Our NO SLIP rulers for the sewing, quilting and craft markets are so revolutionary they have been issued two patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office ( Patent No. 6,740,355 and patent No. 7,032,534 ) and come with a clear no-slip surface applied to the bottom of the ruler that eliminates skewed lines and ruler movement when rotary cutting. These start with an "NS" for No Slip in the model number. The surface is clear, so it does not interfere with measuring and cutting. All of our rulers feature a two color patented process that uses a thin, single line two color marking, black lines on one side and bright yellow lines on the reverse side, for use on light or dark colored materials. This feature is preferred over the two-colors-on-one-side rulers because the lines for the measurements can be kept narrow. This means there is no confusion about which side of the line to use for measuring. The numbers also flip for ease of use.
